1. Who this policy covers
Audio Q is a UK-based software publisher. For privacy questions, contact support@audioq.co.uk.
2. Website data
The Audio Q website is a static website. We do not currently run advertising trackers or third-party marketing analytics on audioq.co.uk. Our hosting and security providers may process normal technical request data such as IP address, browser information, request time and security signals to deliver and protect the site.
3. Purchases and payments
When live checkout is enabled, purchases are expected to be processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Payment details and purchase information are handled by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy terms. Audio Q may receive order information needed to provide the software, licensing and customer support, such as name, email address, order/product identifiers and licence status.
4. Licence activation
Audio Q may use a software licensing service to activate, validate and deactivate a licence. This can involve sending the licence key, a device/instance label and purchase-related identifiers to the licensing provider. The purpose is to confirm that a licence is valid and to enforce the permitted activation limit.
5. App updates
Audio Q can contact Audio Q download infrastructure to check for software updates and download a new installer. Normal server request data may be processed when these requests are made. The app verifies update files before launching an installer.
6. Support
If you contact us, we process the information you send so we can respond and troubleshoot. Diagnostic logs are only received if you choose to copy and send them to us. Please avoid sending passwords, payment card details or information that is not relevant to the support request.
7. Cookies
Audio Q does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies on this website. Essential cookies may be used by hosting, security or payment providers where necessary for their services. If we introduce non-essential analytics or marketing cookies later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated first.
8. Why we process information
Depending on the context, information is processed to provide the website and software, fulfil purchases, operate licensing, deliver updates, prevent fraud or abuse, provide support, comply with legal obligations and pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing Audio Q.
9. Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers only where needed to run Audio Q, for example website hosting/security, payment processing, licensing, email/support and download infrastructure. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights.
10. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where applicable, the provider is responsible for appropriate safeguards for its processing and we select providers with established data protection and security practices.
11. Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including support, licensing, accounting, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by data type and provider.
12. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights over your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You can contact us at support@audioq.co.uk to make a request. You may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
13. Changes
We may update this policy when Audio Q, its providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
